REWARD $2000 For information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) involved in the assault of the male subject pictured above, the family has offered a $2000 reward. The assault took place in the area of the intersection of Market and River Drive, Ottumwa. (Ottumwa Hydro/Skate Park area). The assault occurred on the evening of Wednesday, June 13, 2007 between the hours of 10:00 and 11:30 pm. The victim is a resident of Ottumwa and an IHCC student. Persons with information may be kept anonymous. Please call the Ottumwa Police Dept. 641-683-0661 with any information.
Child Safety Zones
If an offender is 1) required to register in the State of Iowa and, 2) has been convicted of an "aggravated offense against a minor", he/she is prohibited from residing within 2,000 feet of the real property comprising a school or child care facility.
Ottumwa's Most Wanted
**The Ottumwa Police Department is partnering with KYOU FOX15 to profile wanted individuals. KYOU will air those individuals during "America's Most Wanted" starting Saturday June 19th. Entry Level Testing Eligibility Requirements
In order to be eligible to participate in our entry level testing for police officer, applicants must:
- Be at least eighteen years of age.
- Be a United States citizen.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Not have a felony conviction or a conviction of a crime of moral turpitude.
- Have uncorrected vision no less than 20/100 corrected to 20/20.
- Have normal color vision.
- Have normal hearing.
