Strategic Planning Meeting - November 20th
The City of Ottumwa's next community strategic planning meeting will be held on Thursday, November 20th, 6 to 9 PM at Bridge View Center.
The group will work on specific community interests, issues and opportunities concerning the City developed through previous meetings. The goal is to develop vision for Ottumwa for the next 5 to 8 years.
The final follow up meeting will be held Thursday, December 11th at Bridge View Center; 6 to 9PM The Group will examine the outcome of the previous meetings and discuss how to implement the findings.
The focus group involved with the meetings is made up of a broad cross-section of the community representing a variety of interests. The City has actively sought participation from business & industry, civic and service organizations, labor unions, seniors, youth, health care, education and churches. Interested residents are welcome to come and participate in the process. The City is hoping to have nearly 100 individuals engaged in the planning meetings.
The strategic plan will provide the City Council with guidance from a wide spectrum of the city about the community's vision for the future.
