JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN Salary $16.30-$18.72
REQUIREMENTS: high school graduate or GED equivalent; possess minimum of a journeyman electrician's license issued by State of Iowa and/or City of Ottumwa; possess and maintain class B Commercial driver's license within 30 days of employment; good communication and working relationship with local utilities; experience as a journeyman electrician in the repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment and some experience in general equipment and building maintenance. Knowledge of tools, materials, methods, practices, occupational hazards and safety precautions of electrical trade and work with high voltages; knowledge of city and national electrical codes. Skill to locate and correct defects in electrical systems, devices, machines and equipment; interpret and work from technical sketches and blueprints; perform equipment and building maintenance tasks. Pass preemployment physical, including drug test; residency within 30 mile radius of city, if hired.
