Description:
This project consisted of full width, full depth PCC reconstruction of 873 lineal feet on K Avenue. Included was the installation of new storm sewer and intakes. This section of street was connected into the new road that BNSF recently constructed. K Avenue serves Parks Companies, Millard Refrigerated Services and Schwartz Beer Wholesalers. Future plans include Cargill moving their livestock entrance to the north side of the plant. The combined street project opens up an additional 13.5 acres of commercial property.
This project was funded with $149,623 from a RISE (Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy) Grant with the balance coming from the 2007 CIP Program.
