A Memorial Day Mass to honor veterans and all of the deceased will be held at Calvary Cemetery beginning at 9:00 AM on the 28th.  The 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus Honor Guard will be participating.  Fr. John Spiegel will be the celebrant.  Attendees can enter through either gate.

The Memorial Day Ceremony at the Ottumwa Cemetery will begin at Noon on the 28th. The Ceremony will include a formal presentation of the colors, a hymn and eulogy and ending with a “twenty-one gun” salute.   The Color Guard will be from the Iowa Army National Guard.  Those attending the ceremony should enter the Ottumwa Cemetery through the Manning Gate on Jefferson Street.

The Ottumwa Municipal Band will begin its 143rd season of summer evening concerts with a performance this Thursday, June 7th, in Central Park beginning at 7:00 PM.   

The Program includes:  

Star Spangled Banner, Night On Bald Mountain, There's No Business Like Show Business, Li'l Abner Overture,  Suite from the Planets,  Music for a Summer Night, Overcome, Rain Medley, The American Way, and America The Beautiful.
