Ottumwa Civil Service Commission Entance Exam for Establishment of an Eligibility List for Master Electrician

MASTER ELECTRICIAN                         Salary $ 17.05 – 19.59  

REQUIREMENTS:  high school graduate or GED equivalent; possess electrical master license issued by State of Iowa and/or City of Ottumwa; possess and maintain class B Commercial driver's license; experience as a master electrician, preferably including work on a variety of types residential, commercial and industrial electrical construction jobs.  Knowledge of approved methods, techniques and materials used in making electrical circuits; knowledge of state law, national and local codes and ordinances governing electrical installation; knowledge of building construction methods and materials as related to electrical installation and potential fire hazards and of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the electrical trade and of working with high voltage; ability to understand and work from blueprints and drawings.  Pass preemployment physical, including drug test; residency within 30 mile radius of city, if hired.
