Ottumwa Transit Board
On June 7, 2011, the Ottumwa City Council voted unamously to take control of Ottumwa Transit operations and management. The Ottumwa Transit Board is in place as an advisory board designed to make recommendations to the City Council about public transportation in Ottumwa. This five-member board meets monthly, or more often, if needed. The OTA Board members are appointed by the mayor with confirmation by the city council. Board meetings are open, public meetings under Iowa Code.
