Make Ottumwa Shine Week for 2011 was May 1 - 7.     We had a number of areas around town cleaned up.  Big Thanks to all of the volunteers who gave just a little time, a little sweat and made such a visible improvement to Ottumwa.  

 

Check out the Make Ottumwa Shine Clean Up List and adopt your favorite site to spruce up.  Purple bags and latex gloves are available at the Recycling Center.

Volunteers may stop by the Recycling Center to pick up purple bags and gloves. Let us know when you've finished your project and we'll pick up the filled bags. For more information contact Jody Gates at 683-0694.

There is no Free Landfill Day this year but Wapello and Davis County residents can make appointments at the Recycling Center to dispose of household hazardous materials.  Free disposal is limited to residential properties but small quantity generators like small businesses and farmers can dispose of items for a fee.  Call the Recycling Center at 641-683-0685 for more information.
